Could be a problem with some missing strings in the en_GB translation, at least it doesn't happen with en_US here, maybe you can try with this one and see if that helps? (In reply to comment #1) > Could be a problem with some missing strings in the en_GB translation, at least > it doesn't happen with en_US here, maybe you can try with this one and see if > that helps? > I tried the following: $ LANG="en_US" oowriter2 $ LANG="C" oowriter2 In both cases I had the same problem. Cheers, -- Geoff (In reply to comment #2) > > I tried the following: > $ LANG="en_US" oowriter2 > $ LANG="C" oowriter2 > > In both cases I had the same problem. That's no big surprise as you obviously emerged it with LINGUAS="en_GB", so en_US wasn't even built, so you can't activate it now ;) So if you want to try out if it is better with en_US you will have to re-emerge openoffice unfortunately... (with LINGUAS="en") (In reply to comment #3) I posted this problem on the gentoo forums about a month ago and didn't get a single "me too", I can't believe I'm the only one with LINGUAS="en_GB" so my guess is that this isn't the problem (plus I don't really want to recompile OpenOffice :-). It must be something particular about my system but I've no idea what :-/ In any case, thanks for your suggestions. -- Geoff Ok, so not a lot we can do here anymore, closing |
