Description Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-12 06:08:05 UTC
Can you please add a warning or even better, some check that the madwifi/wpa_supplicant versions match? Would've saved some time... appears I'm not the first to be caught out (http://madwifi.org/ticket/386). Thanks.

There is already a notice about this in wpa_supplicant (and hostapd). Would you like one in madwifi-driver as well?
Comment 2 Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-13 04:11:47 UTC
Yes because the relationship goes both ways - if madwifi-driver gets version bumped and recompiled, the user needs to recompile wpa_supplicant.

Added a note about this to the ebuilds in CVS. Thanks.
