We don't support packages installed outside of portage. That's fine. Clam is not broke, in fact it works everywhere else, even against dev-libs/gmp-4.1.4-r3 on Intel boxen. However there is something in dev-libs/gmp-4.1.4-r3, which is what I filed this bug against, in the Athlon Arch. Wake up and smell the roses. There are things folks prefer to install manually. And Gentoo should not have an issue with system libs. However, if that is your point of view, and if it is a general point of view, then Gentoo will eventually go the way of Red Hat. Ta Ta... Reopen if app-antivirus/clamav installed via ebuild doesn't work with gmp and include some useful info to debug the problem. If you are installing stuff manually, you are on your own. |
