Description
Brian Harring (RETIRED)
![]() zmedico and antarus will be handling the portage releases. osprey mirror-dist upgrades already finished; bzr repo of the source is available at http://dev.gentoo.org/~ferringb/mirror-dist/mirror-dist Latest (what's running on osprey) is at http://dev.gentoo.org/~ferringb/mirror-dist/mirror-dist-0.7.1.tar.bz2 Lance, please grab a copy for infra uses. Additionally, your request to transfer emerge-delta-webrsync snapshot generation to osprey isn't an issue (scripts and logs were transferred already); I *do* need diffball merged however, since it is the actual workhorse. Remaining packages I own/maintain- app-arch/pppmd app-arch/rzip app-arch/tarsync dev-util/diffball dev-util/bsdiff They're kind of corner cases- nobody else seems to be watching over the corner case compression packages. Emailed -core regarding these packages and have poked a few other folks, but so far haven't found any takers. Not particularly sure how to proceed for it; I'm stepping away and will not be maintaining those ebuilds (although I'll still be active upstream, for where I am upstream), so potentially need to open a couple of maintainers-needed bugs. Meanwhile, this is recruiters domain, so re-assigning. @recruiters, please back out my email addie from recruiters alias. @infra, please disable my shell access to lark, osprey, and egret. Finally... someone please cc ferringb@gmail.com on 114944- I'm holding onto my bugzilla account, but everything dev related I'm dropping. @dsd: round 3, please remove my blog from planet.g.o. Alright, you folks are slackers :P Did it myself and disabled my ssh access to osprey, lark, egret, and roadrunner ; everything else (forums, gentooAccess eg toucan, -core), y'all need to remove since I lack the powers. Finally, this should be assigned to devrel rather then recruiters (seems to be the standard for retirement bugs) Thanks ~harring Infra: please retire ferringb so I don't have to endure any more of his whining :P I'll try and get to it as soon as I can. :P man, you folks are slow... toucan/recruiters/-core access still. ;) Done thanks lance... leaves you amne, still have dev status in forums. Retired on forums, changed ferringb@gentoo.org to ferringb@gmail.com. @amne: thanks. closing, shouldn't be any remaining bits of access returning w/ robbat2 as the mentor, thus reopening... I'll be taking care of you, mostly because we're in similar timezones and recruiting a returning dev fits my schedule. But also because you deserve the pain of dealing with me. Denis. quizes/dsa key were sent to recruiters... enjoy ;) @calchan: unless you're planning on extracting my proper technical responses out of the mixture of sarcasm and irrelevance I sent in along w/ my quiz responses (and yes I understand the need for a proper/dry technical response, although the jokes were funny), 04/27 isn't a likely goal- 04/30 is a better mark via me being finished w/ travelling. Your call either way. Minor update... final quizes and all that jazz was sent in earlier this week. Ball's in y'alls court. Congratulations and welcome back. What we did: - LDAP - bugzilla - cvs/svn/git groups on cvs.gentoo.org - IRC-cloak - created a new LDAP/mail password - announcement - gentoo-core (requested but still pending) What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forums count) - send yourself mail to create .maildir - add yourself to mail aliases ( like java@gentoo.org ) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located - set gentooIM if you want people to be able to contact you via other means than email - If you want a blog on blogs.gentoo.org, contact planet@gentoo.org - contact trustees@gentoo.org for Foundation membership (optional) I'm keeping this open until -core subscription is done. Denis. lists done. recruiters: while I'm away this week, please CC infra for list requests so I see them for processing. All done, Have fun. Denis. Reopening for packages reassignment Brian replied he will retire, will wait the usual 15 days to reconsider Infra please proceed. Thanks Brian for your work and good luck! bugs, herds and metadatas cleaned I removed brians infra access. Still have the normal retirement process to do. -A (In reply to Alec Warner from comment #25) > I removed brians infra access. > > Still have the normal retirement process to do. > > -A Nudge; while I appreciate the usual notion of giving folks time to come out of their funk, I've moved onto other things- I'd appreciate my remaining access being backed out and my @gentoo converted back to @gmail; I no longer actively monitor anything gentoo wise and am not a fan of dead accounts hanging around. :) Thanks/g'luck in future endeavours- ~harring @infra, was this finally done? Packages reassignement was done long time ago... I will retake since second mail then to let him also know that this is going again... :/ it seems his gentoo address was already disabled... hence, the remaining job is probably in Infra side to complete the retirement Apparently LDAP is done with gentooRetire: 2014/01/09. I don't see him in gitolite. You may want to check with Forums etc. Ah, nice Forums done. Removed from planet/universe, nothing on blogs. Done: - no wiki or cloak found *** Bug 109972 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
