I changed the ebuild to mention the solution from bug #120515. We'll just try to remember to remove it when it won't be needed anymore. |
The latest tetex ebuild has the following in its pkg_postinst(): einfo "" einfo "tetex-3.0_p1-r1 makes changes in /etc/texmf/fmtutil/00fmtutil.cnf" einfo "After you update this file, please run as root" einfo " fmtutil-sys --missing && fmtutil-sys --byfmt etex" einfo "" However, these commands seem to fail for many people, as seen in this forum thread: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=3093122#3093122 The fix seems to be running texmf-update before the fmtutil-sys commands. Perhaps the ebuild should mention this additional command? Cheers, Ryan
