Hi, Trying a stage3 build under catalyst2 and portage snapshot 02-02-06, I get an error installing sys-apps/man because it tries to install a new user and group (man/man) using /usr/portage/eclass/eutils.eclass, which uses /usr/sbin/groupadd and /usr/sbin/useradd to add the groups. Only, shadow isn't installed so the build fails. Either we'll need to make shadow a part of 'system' or we'll need to have man DEPENDing on shadow... >>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache... * Adding group 'man' to your system ... * - Groupid: 15 /usr/portage/eclass/eutils.eclass: line 735: groupadd: command not found !!! ERROR: sys-apps/man-1.6-r1 failed. !!! Function enewgroup, Line 735, Exitcode 127 !!! enewgroup failed !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.
