Description astlan 2006-01-31 18:25:02 UTC
I am using loop-aes with gentoo. Previous to recently upgrading my system, which involved upgrading portage, baselayout, sysvinit versions. Now swap gets activated prior to the module autoloading. The problem is I am using a loop-aes encrypted swap partition so activating swap before the modules are loaded causes the default loop module to load with default parameters. I use a different parameter for loading the loop module (max_loop=20), but once loop is loaded by activating swap, it only loads the default which is a max of 8 loop devices created. I have searched the forums, asked in IRC #gentoo, and even googled for a solution to this. I am new to this, so if the problem has a simple solution, my apologies.
