emerge gcc always fails with the message included in the file bugreportoutput.txt
(im in a terminal with links2 and can't copy and paste).

the precompiled source and emerge info are also included as files. Im running
a new system from the 2004.1 universal disk and this error comes up in the 
initial emerge world.
