This should be added to portage ASAP as the gpio module compiles. It didn't in previous versions due to name changes in the internal bttv code of the kernel *** Bug 120382 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 78472 [details, diff]
patch to lirc-0.8.0_pre3.ebuild to upgrade to lirc-0.8.0
Changed the SRC_URI line so it would download the new release. Compiled fine here: 2.6.15-ck2.

LIRC_OPTS="--with-driver=serial" test case
Test case complile using serial port driver interface.
*** Bug 123027 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I can confirm that LIRC_OPTS="--with-driver=leadtek_0010" emerge lirc Works. This builds the lirc_gpio module which failed in the pre releases due to changes in bttv part of the kernel. That means for anyone using a newer kernel eg 2.6.15 or later lirc-0.8.0 is a must Shouldn't this should be in portage by now. What's holding it back? commited. |
