A litte more investigation shows that the system will in fact boot with Command line root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/sda5 udev report_lost_ticks=100 noapictimer acpi=noirq (NOTE acpi=noirq instead of acpi=off and the ACPI entries in dmesg now) Dmesg is now...
