All the sparc profiles have alsa masked. However, having unmasked it, alsa appears to be working fine on my sparc machine, and furthermore, the 2.6.15-r1 version of gentoo-sources which is currently ~sparc does not appear to offer any other way of getting sound. I am unable to compile a lot of applications with support for it since the alsa USE flag is masked. Could a profile be made available with alsa unmasked?
