gtkhtml flag was recently set to default, so most programs use gtkhtml-3.

Except gtk-perl, which still depends on gtkhtml-1, which depends on lots of gnome libs, including the control-center! Since I don't have gnome installed and don't want to install half of its libraries, I wonder if gtk-perl could use gtkhtml-3, or if gtkhtml-1's dependencies could be reduced to adequate levels.

I know this is not a top priority bug, but it is in fact annoying. As a work around to prevent portage from emerging gnome, you would put "dev-perl/gtk-perl -gtkhtml" in /etc/portage/package.use, so that all the other gtk apps still can use gtkhtml.

Oh I forgot to mention gtk-perl's version:

dev-perl/gtk-perl-0.7009-r2

No, it couldn't. And if don't like that, then USE="-gtkhtml"
