xste is a subtitle editor with GUI (X windows). Can generate ppml, suti, vplayer, .sub and substation-alpha output format(and a few more). Can read ppml, suti, and ssa format. Now also has interface to voice synthesizers. Xste only needs a wave or raw audio file as input.
