[Java framework] The JRE specified by the bootstrap variable UNO_JAVA_JFW_JREHOME or UNO_JAVA_JFW_ENV_JREHOME could not be recognized. Check the values and make sure that you use a plug-in library that can recognize that JRE.register component 'file:///var/tmp/portage/openoffice-2.0.1/work/ooo-build-2.0.1/build/ooa680-m1/testtools/source/bridgetest/../../unxlngx6.pro/class/testComponent.jar' in registry '../../unxlngx6.pro/lib/uno_services.rdb' failed! error (RuntimeException): [JavaVirtualMachine]:An unexpected error occurred while starting Java! dmake: Error code 1, while making '../../unxlngx6.pro/lib/uno_services.rdb' dmake: '../../unxlngx6.pro/lib/uno_services.rdb' removed. Function src_compile, Line 208, Exitcode 2 profiles/default-linux/amd64/package.mask has this: # 2005/10/24 Simon Stelling <blubb@gentoo.org> # Don't even try to compile openoffice-2.x, it won't work. >=app-office/openoffice-2.0.0 There is a reason why this package is masked on AMD64 ;) Closing. I see now a similar bug #116687 (relating to -fPIC). What exactly are the issues with getting openoffice to build on amd64? I generally would not try to build this package myself, but since there is a ~amd64 version of openoffice-bin, it's obviously not impossible. Though people should generally not submit bugs for masked packages, they probably will anyway for something as popular as this, particularly if there is not a bug open. It may be in your interest to keep an open bug so that people stop asking about it. |
