Description Ed Catmur 2006-01-09 20:28:38 UTC
Since upgrading to mozilla-firefox-1.5-r9, epiphany (built with USE="firefox") hangs as soon as it tries to display a web page.

Attaching with gdb, backtrace shows it is stuck in /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/components/libgklayout.so:

(gdb) t a a bt

Last known good is mozilla-firefox-1.5-r3; fortunately I kept a binpkg.

Any ideas what could have changed? I can't really tell, what with the firefox ebuild changing from patches in FILESDIR to a gentoo patchset. Presumably anarchy knows what he's changed between -r3 and -r9? I'm willing to build packages, binary search etc. if that's what it takes.
Comment 1 Jory A. Pratt 2006-01-13 07:56:09 UTC
I suggest rebuilding epiphany, I have just emerge epiphany and all pages are loading fine.
Comment 2 Ed Catmur 2006-01-13 09:25:27 UTC
I tried that.

What changed between firefox 1.5-r4 and -r9? Why the non-consecutive revbump?
Comment 3 Jory A. Pratt 2006-01-13 09:29:57 UTC
I have alot of people working out of my overlay, that is reason I choose to go from -r4 to -r9. If rebuild epiphany against -r9 does not correct the problem you will have to wait until -r10 goes into the tree :/ I plan on adding it in the next few days.
Comment 4 Ed Catmur 2006-02-08 06:13:51 UTC
Bug still exists with 1.5.1.0, but disappears if I build mozilla-firefox with "debug" USE flag.
Comment 5 Ed Catmur 2006-02-10 18:40:48 UTC
Fixed by workaround to bug 122424. Maybe the same bug, but symptoms were slightly different.
