try http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/experimental/livecd/ (the "basic" one) and see if it fares any better. I tried this iso, but the problem still remains... Please let me know the last thing printed to the screen before the system locks up when using the new experimental "basic" livecd. That information would be helpful to potentially further track this bug. Thanks. Seems I mis-understood the problem. In fact, the problem was the keyboard that wasn't working any more after boot. To solve it I disabled the "legacy device" in the BIOS. |
