Description Magnus Anderson 2006-01-07 05:34:40 UTC
Whenever I run XMMS it's always in notification mode (Ie, blinking for attention).
I have not been able to find out why, or how to disable this.

My use flags for Xmms:
media-sound/xmms-1.2.10-r15 USE="alsa esd flac mad mikmod mp3 nls oss vorbis -3dnow -arts -directfb -jack -lirc -mmx -sndfile"

Portage settings:

xmms always in systray ?? xmms doesn't support systray out-of-box. Probably you are using any plugin.

try remove your ~/.xmms dir and all xmms packages then install it and run again...

I think you are wrong about the application xmms doesn't support systray notification.
