This combination is unhappy (that version of Botan doesn't detected GCC 4, so it doesn't enable the long long workarounds). Try 1.4.11 if possible (not in portage yet AFAIK). I've attached a patch against the 1.4.9 configure.pl that should fix this. patch for 1.4.9 configure.pl gcc autodetection
I tried both 1.4.9 with your patch and version 1.4.11. Both compile fine with GCC 4. Thanks peoples. Harrass me if I don't commit this too soon. (and the version bump) gcc-4 problems fixed in 1.4.9 and 1.4.11 (just added). Lloyd - we probably should up the stable version a bit. Do you want to make it 1.4.9 now or wait a couple of weeks and push for 1.4.11? There are a few bug fixes in 1.4.10/11, but nothing very serious, and 1.4.9 was released a couple of months ago. So, I have more confidence now that 1.4.9 is a solid release than I probably will that 1.4.11 is in a week or two. |
