Description Dirk Heinrichs 2006-01-02 02:39:59 UTC
flac 1.1.2 fails to compile when both are available as 2.x versions only.
After installing gtk+ 1.2.10 and glib 1.2.10, flac compiles just fine.
Comment 1 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-02 04:28:17 UTC
Flac doesn't depend on gtk or glib.
Comment 2 Dirk Heinrichs 2006-01-02 04:56:41 UTC
Hmmm, interesting. Did the same thing as I did this morning (unmerged glib and
gtk+ 1.2.10, then re-emerged flac, this time it emerged just fine. This morning
it complained about missing headers glib.h / gtk+.h.
Comment 3 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-03 10:17:32 UTC
Um... and you're right. Building the Xmms plugin implies a Gtk 1 dependency, of course
Comment 4 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-03 12:15:19 UTC
On a second look, Gtk+ is implied by the Xmms dependency. The problem is probably more that we have a circular dependency between Flac and Xmms here.
