Description David Warde-Farley 2006-01-01 02:14:49 UTC
Essentially, apachetop is looking for access_log in /var/log/apache. We Gentooers have everything in /var/log/apache2 since we're running apache2. It can be gotten around by specifying -f [correct path] but I think it's kind of bad that it doesn't work out of the box.

As far as I can tell the app is fine with apache2 access log format and works just fine if you point it in the right direction. So either someone should patch the source with the correct path or add a symlink in /var/log of apache -> apache2 to the apache ebuild.

Also, this should probably depend on fam if it doesn't already; I didn't have famd in my default profile and got an even nastier error to begin with.

Happy New Year!

Eh, did you set the apache2 use flag?
