http://www.moshebar.com/tech/?q=node/43 If you read that, it is possible that OpenMosix will distribute Xen support natively. I'm not sure how this will affect a Gentoo ebuild. Perhaps we must wait simply wait for upstream to see? This would be a whole project in itself (who knows what the interactions between the kernel components are?) Be patient and wait for Moshe and the openmosix people. Chris: this week I will set up my two test Netfinity 4000Rs and give the patch set a go. I too am curious how they interact. If it is satisfactory, I will create an ebuild and post it here. Last time I checked, this patchset was unstable and last time I checked, it was a developers-only release according to the openmosix site. This is a big project and not suitable for an ebuild at the moment. |
