shadow-4.0.12.tar.bz2 doesn't exist on the provided site, only File: shadow-4.0.13.tar.bz2 would be present :-)

Yes, that fixed it, thanks. (I sit in Europe and used ibiblio.org as recommended, though, now I am using a Japanese mirror instead)
