![]() are all in-tree java apps 1.5 ready ? (In reply to comment #1) > are all in-tree java apps 1.5 ready ? > Please note that this is sun-jre-bin which contains the runtime parts only. To compile anything you need sun-jdk so sun-jre-bin is mainly used as a browser plugin provider but of course it does need to run applications emerged too. To answer your question java apps are not 1.5 ready because many packages still fail to emerge with sun-jdk-1.5* (axxo-overlay in java experimental makes it possible to use sun-jdk as the system jdk), but I am not aware of any problems with running stuff emerged using earlier jdks with 1.5. The point of this bug is to find these issues, which is why I opened this bug so early. amd64 stable installed it and played some online java-games with firefox. i don't use java so i don't have anything else to test. I've been using it for a few months, with programs like Azureus. Works fine here (x86) Marked stable on x86. Closing bug. |
