Hmm, that's exciting. I'm assuming everything works fine if you put "Modes" lines in your Screen section? oh, I put there the updated xorg.conf This one works fine but when I remove the virtual lines it attempts to use the higher resolutions. I think you just need modelines in those Display subsections. Something like Modes "1280x1024" instead of those virtual lines will do nicely. I do find it odd that it seems to be discovering proper modes ok but then ignores that information. It's entirely possible this is a bug that is fixed in 7.0.
