I just tried to build shelx with ifc-7. It spit out lots of remarks but failed on linking:

ld: errno: TLS definition in /lib/libc.so.6 section .tbss mismatches non-TLS reference in /opt/intel/compiler70/ia32/lib/libIEPCF90.a(f90file.o)
/lib/libc.so.6: could not read symbols: Bad value

Ignore the above comment ^^ Bugzilla tricked me.

Just a short note that I've seen this (re my mentorship again :), so that you can go about other stuff not waiting for the resolution of this bug).
The submission looks clean (<sarcasm> wow, a hardwired paths in .c source files, how nice of upstream! </sarcasm>), but I'll take a closer look and will test this when I return in mid-August.
Meanwhile you may try to look at changing those hardwired paths into something configurable or (even better) persuading upstream that bad coding/distribution practices are, well, bad :). However do not spend much time on it..
