sane-backends 1.0.17 is released stable at http://www.sane-project.org/.

see attached ebuild

modified "sane-backends-1.0.16-r4"

removed CVS bug-fix patches
removed brothers patches (will need to add again?)
depends >=libusb-0.1.18

NOTES:
compiles no-problem all backends on PPC with
USE="gphoto2 ipv6 usb v4l"
genesys driver now works with newer CanoScan LiDE 60

Anyway, thanks for the hint that libusb 0.1.8 is required.
