PPD file used with cups
I forgot to give more information. I am using net-print/cups-1.1.23-r4 app-text/xpdf-3.01-r3 Furthermore i attached the failing testpage.ps and the ppd file, I am using with cups. This seems to be a printer-specific problem. The same ps-file printed on a other ps-printer does not show the described behaviour. I wrote a e-mail to the brother support crew. Maybe there is a solution... The brother support told me that there is a problem in the BR-SCRIPT3 interpreter of the HL-5050. The page size is not read correctly out of some ps-files. The solution is to install the Brother lpr, and cups-wrapper driver. http://solutions.brother.com/linux/sol/printer/linux/lpr_drivers.html http://solutions.brother.com/linux/sol/printer/linux/cups_drivers.html I installed the rpm-packages. Now printing works! |
