I think the idea was to mask and drop kmobile as it's broken, discontinued and not built by the monolithic version, either. I agree. Maybe that is a better idea. I am all in favour of removing it as a dep of the -meta and p.masking/dropping after the appropriate period. The problem is that the current stable version depends on kdelibs 3.4.1. If you have installed the stable version, update world will downgrade kdelibs. If you want to wait to drop this package after the normal 'dropping-period' you should first mark 3.4.3 stable. No we don't, now that's p.masked people will be asked to unmask or unmerge it if they have it installed. And a week and it will be gone. Removed from portage. |
