No package in portage (as of 15. Dec.) depends on commonc++. It won't compile
cleanly with gcc >=3.4, see this bug: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79919
commoncpp2 on the other hand compiles fine.
I propose to remove this package.
