Sorry, I am wrong. The only thing it changed was the name of the menu: "Networking device support" instead of "Networking support". |
In the chapter of the Handbook about the kernel configuration, you see this: (With a 2.6.x kernel) Device Drivers ---> Networking support ---> <*> PPP (point-to-point protocol) support <*> PPP support for async serial ports <*> PPP support for sync tty ports However, in last 2.6.x Linux Networking support menu is in "Networking -->" in root.
