The link directs users to rsync://gentoo.mirrors.easynews.com/gentoo/ which
fails with symptoms similar to those in bug #87715

The new link should be rsync://gentoo.mirrors.easynews.com/gentoo-portage/

The link in the download mirrors is to the distfiles repository, not an rsync
mirror. So the link is correct.

In regards to your cvs access, I'll ask about it.
