Update: I've found out, that the numeric pad keys are working in a KDE session. It's probably because of the changes in paths. Try: cd /usr/X11/lib ln -s /usr/share/X11/XKeysymDB And then restart your login manager and try again. The same problem exists with XErrorDB and locales for some applications.. I'm looking for a better solution.. I've set the link from /usr/share/X11/XKeysymDB to /usr/X11R6/lib/XKeysymDB (I suppose, you mean X11R6/lib instead of X11/lib), but it doesn't solve the problem.
