Description Michael Gorbach 2005-12-06 10:39:58 UTC
Dante was being recognized correctly by kde in 3.4.1 (installed using
non-split ebuilds). After installing 3.5 beta2 (using split ebuilds, 3.4.1
wasz not overwritten) KDE 3.5 was unable to recognize dante proxy library that
is installed (latest x86 stable version). The message was "socks could not be
loaded." This happened in 3.5 beta, rc1, and continues to happen in final
version.
I tried both using the auto setting and using the custom setting to give KDE a
specific path to the dante library.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade gentoo from kde3.4 to 3.5
2. attempt to set up socks in kde.
3.

Actual Results:
The message was "socks could not be
loaded."

Expected Results:
Dante socks proxy detected by KDE.

Is this still an issue for kde-3.5.6?
