Navigating to about:plugins shows : File name: libflashplayer.so Shockwave Flash 7.0 r61 MIME Type Description Suffixes Enabled application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash swf Yes application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player spl Yes So it loads the flash player, but accessing any site that has flash just leaves a blank space where flash content should be (such as www.macromedia.com) ... Previously worked on Firefox 1.0.7, tried reinstalling netscape-flash, did nothing to resolve the situation. So far I've tested on 2 computers, x86 which I compiled firefox, and on amd64 where it's using firefox-bin (running as 32bit) ... Both exhibit identical behavior. Recommend masking firefox-1.5 if an upstream issue, most likely other plugins will experience similar failings.
