Bug 113965

Summary: tar-1.15.1 emerge fails with sandbox violation
Product: Portage Development Reporter: Whit Blauvelt <whit>
Component: SandboxAssignee: Sandbox Maintainers <sandbox>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal
Priority: High
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Whit Blauvelt 2005-11-29 16:59:06 UTC
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/tmp/sandbox-app-arch_-_tar-1.15.1-3529.log"

unlink:
/var/tmp/portage/tar-1.15.1/work/tar-1.15.1/confdir3/confdir3/confdir3/confdir3/

... the confdir3 repeats _many, many_ times. Looks like a recursive error. This
is in an emerge -u system on a box where the previous version of tar is 1.14
(which shows that it's been some months since the last emerge -u system). The
log file just shows that same unlink ... confdir3 line.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-29 22:55:50 UTC
Upgrade sys-apps/sandbox and try again.
Comment 2 Whit Blauvelt 2005-11-30 06:01:10 UTC
Upgrading sandbox (by two minor versions) does not change the result.

Thanks for the fast response, though!
