In order for vimpart to effectively work, it needs gvim or kvim to be  
installed. I've currently emailed both the kde and vim herds for the addition 
of kvim to the tree.  Gvim should suffice for the time being.

Won't happen, please search next time. There was also another attempt named
Yzis, but it never take off afaik and yzis.org isn't reachable.

Sorry to post to a closed ticket, but if vimpart can't run b/c there's no GUI vim, shouldn't it be removed as well?

It's kinda useless without the GUI... ;)
