Also since it requires hal i can either do an "arch mask" !sparc? pda? ... or have it fixed to be something more user-friendly and mask that. I believe that we do have a few packages in portage that have optional support for the iPod. Maybe the time is ripe for an "ipod" global USE flag? Or maybe something more generic like "hwmp3" or "musicplayer". i'm going to keyword because i found this version very buggy. It crashes almost everytime i play a radio. *** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x0000000000d421f0 *** Portage 2.0.53_rc7 (default-linux/amd64/2005.1, gcc-4.0.2, glibc-2.3.6-r1, 2.6.14-ck3 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.14-ck3 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ Gentoo Base System version 1.6.13 dev-lang/python: 2.4.2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.12 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.20 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/lib64/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig cvs distlocks multilib-strict sandbox sfperms sign strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.ua.pt/pub/gentoo/ ftp://mirrors1.netvisao.pt/gentoo/ http://darkstar.ist.utl.pt/gentoo http://distfiles.gentoo.org" LINGUAS="pt en" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="amd64 16bit X aalib alsa apache1 arts artworkextra atm audiofile avi bash-completion berkdb bitmap-fonts bonobo browserplugin bzip2 cdparanoia cdr cdrom chroot cpudetection crypt cups curl dbus divx4linux dvd dvdr dvdread eds emboss emul-linux-x86 encode esd exif expat fam fbsplash ffmpeg flac font-server foomaticdb fortran freetype gdbm gif gimpprint glut gmail gmailtimestamps gmp gnome gnome-print gnuplot gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 hal iconv idn imagemagick imlib imlib2 ipv6 irc jack java jpeg junit kde lame lcms ldap logitech-mouse lzw lzw-tiff mad maildir mbox mikmod mng motif mozilla moznoirc moznomail mozsha1 mozxmlterm mp3 mpeg mplayer msn nas ncurses net nls nptl nvidia octave offensive ogg opengl openssh openssl pam pcre pdflib perl physfs png pnp ppds print python qt quicktime rar readline real rhythmbox samba sdl speex spell sqlite ssl startup-notification subtitles tcltk tcpd tiff toolbar truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev usb userlocales videos vim vorbis xfs xine xml2 xmms xpm xrandr xscreensaver xv xvid zlib linguas_pt linguas_en userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS Change the use pda flag to ipod since it makes it easier for archs to use.mask the hal deps. ~sparc'ed, thanks Joe. Luis: AFAIK the 0.9.x branch is development and Joe just wants to get the deps fullfiled for the future. yes i understand all dependencies are ready on amd64. But i'm not sure about this package it sounds very unstable to me. About my previous comment there is a typo i'm _not_ going*.(at least for now) add ~amd64 keyword. Probably some ATs can test this again and see if we can keyword it later or on a next release. re comment #8 Thats totally fine. I only added amd64 as a cc since the last release had that keyword. This a development release. Normally we don't put development releases in the tree but the last stable release of rhythmbox was well over a year ago and doesn't work so well for most people. If you or any other arch testers find bugs and want to report them upstream I'm sure they would appreciate it. i will test this better with the ATs and discuss later. Why don't you mask this package? We will keyword it without any problems since it's masked. I haven't had any problems with it that make it deserve masking. Its also the only release upstream will really support and I'd rather have anybody using rhythmbox use this version since there isn't support for the other one which can make bugs difficult. removing amd64... when a new release hit the tree we will test again. compiles and runs fine for me on amd64 Marked 0.9.3.1 ~ppc. the new version runs much better now on amd64. Keyword added. since joe is having some problems with his computer i'm closing this bug. |
