cisco-vpnclient-3des-4.6.03.0190-r1 1. installs modules into /lib/modules/0 2. Modprobing fails because of nameing problems Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. modprobe -kv cisco_ipsec 2. 3. Actual Results: insmod /lib/modules/2.6.14-gentoo-r2/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec.mod.o FATAL: Error inserting cisco_ipsec (/lib/modules/2.6.14-gentoo-r2/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec.mod.o): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) Expected Results: works, no errors! cisco-vpnclient-3des-4.6.03.0190-r1 (current x86) 1. installs modules into /lib/modules/0 ... manually moved the contents of /lib/modules/0 to /lib/modules/2.6.14-r2 ... see line 70, "0" should be "${KV}" - I think this is already reported, but I cant find the bug. 2. Modprobing fails because of nameing problems ... note that modprobe is trying to insert cisco_ipsec.mod.o, not cisco_ipsec.ko ... when I manually give insmod the correct name it works fine. ... not sure where this going astray bunyip modules # modprobe -kv cisco_ipsec insmod /lib/modules/2.6.14-gentoo-r2/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec.mod.o FATAL: Error inserting cisco_ipsec (/lib/modules/2.6.14-gentoo-r2/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec.mod.o): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) bunyip modules # insmod /lib/modules/2.6.14-gentoo-r2/CiscoVPN/cisco_ipsec.ko bunyip modules #
