Please try `emerge ieee80211 ipw2200` and retry the modprobe. ieee80211 and ipw2200 are both freshly installed. (In reply to comment #2) > ieee80211 and ipw2200 are both freshly installed. Same here with vanilla-sources-2.6.14 Nevertheless, the network is working on my system. what is the result on your system of grep `escape_essid /proc/kallsysms`? Please try unloading all the ipw2x00 and ieee80211 modules (or reboot), then reload ipw2200. If that doesn't work, please attach the full output of `emerge -v ieee80211 ipw2200` along with your kernel .config file. |
