patch to fix lamarc unicode problems with wxWidgets

Description Brady Catherman 2005-11-16 19:56:15 UTC
I have no clue what this program does but the scientists are running it like
crazy. They wanted it installed so I built an ebuild for it. Im not the best
ebuild writer out there so go over first =)

Here is the ebuild.

Description from the lamarc web page:
Version 2.0 of LAMARC combines much of the capabilities of the \
previous programs RECOMBINE, MIGRATE, and FLUCTUATE, as well as \
adding new functionality. Using DNA or RNA sequence data, SNPs, \
microsatellites, or K-Allele data such as electrophoretic alleles, \
LAMARC can estimate Theta, recombination rate, migration rates, and \
growth (or decline) rates for the population(s) from which the data \
were drawn. These four forces can be estimated all together or with \
any sub-combination that includes Theta (i.e. Theta plus up to three \
other forces). It can also make estimates using genotyped (as opposed \
to haplotyped) data.

patch to fix lamarc unicode problems with wxWidgets

Hi Brady,

Thanks for your ebuild! Unfortunately, the compile fails for me when
building the wxWidgets based gui due to problems converting between
char arrays/pointers and wxStrings, probably due to unicode.
The attached patch fixes these problems and after applying it I can
compile it fine on my machine. I assume the compile worked fine for you
before, but please give the patch a try and check that it doesn't break
anything.
