/var/tmp/portage/libwww-5.4.0-r4/work/w3c-libwww-5.4.0/config.log
The resulting config.log as resquested.
According to config.log, it comes from libmysql, and it does not find the right one. This "/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.4/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64/mysql/libmysqlclient.so when searching for -lmysqlclient" usually arises when you find a 32bit lib on a 64bit machine, but it does not seem to be the case here... Perhaps could you try recompiling mysql ? I did. And after a "emerge world" and a "emerge depclean" libwww was uninstalled. Everything seems to be fine now. The strange part - and the reason I reported the bug in the first place - is that I had already compiled mysql-4.1.14 2 times. |
