Description schubukov 2005-11-06 13:53:52 UTC
media-video/kaffeine-0.7.1 and 0.6-r1 say "Loading of player part
'kaffeine_part' failed." on startup and won't play videos.
In details it adds ".desktop not found in search path.". And after dismissing
that dialog: "Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream" and "No mime types installed".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge kaffeine.
2.run (the first-time script which is a next->next with no options).
3.every time it's run after that.

The file kaffeine_part.desktop is located in /usr/share/services, but if that
directory is included in the path the problem remains.
The file $HOME/.kde/share/config/kaffeinerc might be related (that's where
kaffeine loads a variable that tells it to look for kaffeine_part).

And, to make it clear: with me it only happens in user mode. Root can run kaffeine with no errors.
