Don't know why this is a blocker, rivatv works just fine with nv driver that comes with X. Otherwise, clearly an upstream problem. Please try with the latest version of rivatv 0.8.6 and re-open this bug if that does not work. I am using the latest version. 0.8.6 Please be a little more specific about what does not work. For example what error messages are you getting? User response needed... Ok Guys, I haven't had time in the last week to work on this some more. But before that I spent 2 weeks straight on it. Rivatv will not work if nvidia-kernel is installed. Versions of nvidia-kernel are not supported in any way shape or form by rivatv. I therefore think nvidia-kernel should block rivatv since if you install both hotplug loads the nvidia-kernel module @boot and rivatv at that point no longer functions and is broken. Rivatv's 2.6 kernel support is a little behind and I am unable to even slightly get it to work with a 2.6 kernel. I had to revert down to 2.4 to even kinda make rivatv work for my visiontek xtasy everything. Give me another week and I will thrash it some more as I try to get my mythtv box 100% functional. |
