Description Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-01 14:43:44 UTC
I can't embed videos into an 'impress' presentation. According to
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=12911 this should be possible
if mplayerplug-in is compiled with --enable-x. Comment from rene suggests the
debian package compiles both gtk and x versions of mplayerplug-in?
Comment 1 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-03 19:22:07 UTC
Unfortunately, it's an either or situation. The suggestion from debian is to
build both as seperate packages and let the user choose. I'm against just
ditching gtk2 support, but I'm not sure if there is another way to have it work
all around. I'll look into it, but for now, if you change the ebuild to not
depend on gtk2 and change the --enable-gtk2 to --enable-x you can build it with
X instead.
Comment 2 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-19 00:44:56 UTC
I've changed the 3.15 ebuild to allow building against X. Be aware that doing
this removes the gtk2 playback controls.
