Description Ruslan U. Zakirov 2005-10-29 01:27:02 UTC
checking size of long double... configure: error: cannot compute sizeof (long
double), 77
See `config.log' for more details.

!!! ERROR: sys-libs/glibc-2.3.5-r3 failed.
!!! Function glibc_do_configure, Line 932, Exitcode 1
!!! failed to configure glibc
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

I can't remerge glibc-2.3.5-r2 which is installed and has been merged some time ago.
Also current portage has two releases of the autoconf >= 2.53(as required by
glibc) I can't merge with both.
gcc is latest available from portage and I didn't try to to downgrade.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge glibc

Portage 2.0.53_rc6 (default-linux/amd64/2005.1, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r2,

config.log

I don't know why it was marked as duplicate, but anyway attach config.log file.

Segmentation fault happens in test for size of the long double.

Attach to the other bug, not to a duplicate one, please.
