Bug 110610 – Quake3, Punkbuster can't be enabled

i can't enable punkbuster, 
starting the game going on Multiplayer and then clicking on 
"Punkbuster:>Disabled" gives me the dialog "Enable Punkbaster YES/NO" 
clicking YES dont turns it ON its still disabled. 
 
i try do it manuelly and creating a "pb" directory in ~/.q3a copying the 
pbweb.x86 making it executable and running it with the result : 
"**ERROR: No PunkBuster files found at path ~/.q3a/pb" 
Sounds like Punkbuster need be activate first in multiplayer menu, 
then it wil create the ~/.q3a/pb directory and put same generely files in it, 
and then the user wil be able to run the pbweb.x86 to bring it up-to-date. 
Version quake3-1.33_alpha187

   What doesn't work/known bugs:
     * Punkbuster, never will work unless even balance makes it so.

yep see that now, 
damn then this realase is useless because im not able to play on PB-Srv's

that is why we still have 'quake3-bin' in addition to 'quake3' ... you
can install them both at the sametime

quake3-bin -> use it when you need punk buster
quake3 -> everything else
