Could it be, that you did an emerge sync while doing the build (which is no good idea)? If not this file really should be there so, please do ls -la /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-2.0.0/work/ and post what you get I made automatic syncs, but i checked logs and there weren't any sync during merge. root@demon /root # ls /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-2.0.0/work/ total 1.0K drwx------ 3 root root 80 Oct 26 13:37 . drwxr-xr-x 6 portage portage 240 Oct 26 21:54 .. drwxrwxrwx 16 root root 1.4K Oct 26 13:37 ooo-build-2.0.0 No "ooo-build-2.0.0.1" directory. @Michal: There must have been a sync in between, otherwise this dir would be
named correctly (or it would look for 2.0.0 instead of 2.0.0.1, depending on
which ebuild revision you used). It works here, I've checked again, the commit
in portage is correct, as both the unpacking and install use the same variable
for the ooo-build-dir, this is plain not possible, so closing this.
If you want to finish the install without starting again, edit the ebuild and
change the line
MY_PV="${PV}.1"
to
MY_PV="${PV}"
after that do an
FEATURES="noauto" ebuild
/usr/portage/app-office/openoffice/openoffice-2.0.0.ebuild install qmerge
to finish the merge
