There seem to be problems with some certain fonts under kde, try to set another font for the ui and see if that helps *** Bug 110491 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Thank you for your advice. How to change the font without the options dialog? I didn't find the file to edit. Try to change the User Interface font in kde, OOo should automatically adopt to that Also do you have other problems in OOo where text is not displayed correctly? Or is this the only place where it is missing? Well, I tried some more things: Changing the kde-fonts works well. The fonts in OOo changed too, though the missing fonts didn't appear. The (kde file chooser) opening dialog works well, but the font hides at these parts: - context menu - any native dialogs (i.e. replace, customize, ...) See added picture for illustration. Bug 110491 might be somehow related, though I don't believe it's duplicate as you marked it, but anyway we will see once we solved this one. Created attachment 71530 [details]

btw: the console doesn't say nothing, the deps are installed correctly, revdep-rebuild is done, ... I can't say what to do now. Even if I start oowriter2 in plain startx I get the same results. Thank you for any further ideas. Look at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-393671-highlight-kde+openoffice.html and try if some of the inor there is helpful for you Ahmm, I don't know what "inor" is either, but I think I meant "info" in my last message ;) Unfortunately that didn't help in my case, though I think the direction is right. May it be a matter of bindist USEflag in freetype? It might, try it out and tell us! ;) Works for me now. Reemerging solved my problems. Thank you guys. |
