I need the isolateDevice option added to xorg-x11. After trying to create my own
ebuild (which sucks by comparison), I must say that the current ebuilds took a
lot of work and seem to have a lot of features. Thanks for the time spent making
them for all of us.

The first link below has patches for xorg 6.7.0 and 6.8.0, however the internet
doesn't pull up any newer patches. I know they are there because apparently it
comes default with debian/ubuntu and mandriva now. So unfortunatly a patch would
possibly need to be pulled from their tree. The patch was previously called
prefBusID. It makes each session of X use only one video card w/o initializing
or touching other cards. This is necessary as upon starting X it initializes all
cards, which kills all other sessions of X.

This should be the only thing that is needed to run multiuser X. The ruby kernel
patch is no longer needed as people are using the evdev with the patched X. I
guess that requires a kernel >= 2.6.13 which of course is no problem. If this
doesn't get added to the current build I understand, and I think I could live
with my own implementation.

Any idea if this was added to X's CVS recently? Have you tried 6.8.99.15?

It is upstream thanks.

Awesome. I'm not adding any more features to 6.8.2 so either be patient or use
6.8.99.15/modular rc.
