Description Jacob Lindberg 2005-10-24 00:23:34 UTC
I5 550 running livecd 2005.0

I follow the handbook, to find errors.

I can do my fdisk through /dev/sda,and create my slices like the handbook says.
But when I try do create filesystems there, I get a 'Could not stat /dev/sda2 -
No such file or directory', which is pretty obvious since the symlinks for the
slices doesn't exist there. But they do exist in /dev/discs/disc[0-9]/part[0-9]
like they are suppose to.

Maybe this should be pointed out more specific in the handbook?

I haven't tested the 2005.1 liveCD to see if it happens there too.

After an IPL, vary on/off or reboot, the symlinks are created.
